English translations of Familie Journal plays - David Brown - 05.09.2011 17:10
I have recently started translating some of the plays from the Family Journalinto English.
So far I have translated 'Circus Children@ and 'Per the Blacksmiths Son'
I am in the middle of 'The Ring of Desire' and also 'Kristian' so watch this space.
I will post others as I do them, and I hope they will be of some use to others!

By the way, it's the english translation of the german translation, isn't it.
I'm thinking in making the german translation of the english translation of the Circus Children - might be easier, than translating the danish text.

Circus Children is translated from the Danish . The others have been translated using both the German and the Danish texts. Good luck Martin with Circus Children from English. Its like a roundabout isn't it!!!

You will see that I have posted the Mystery of the White Horse. Now here is 'At the Last Moment' which I hope you will enjoy. Coming up in a few days is 'The Hermit's Treasure' a cracking yarn from the 1919 edition of Family Journal. Great sets too!!
